Pogon Jedinstvo, Trnjanska struga 34In the world of big data, we must not only deal with potential computer failures, but also a high level of opacity related to how this data is collected, how it is interpreted, who has access to it, and how it can be manipulated.

On the edge of Zagreb, there is a forest where locals take walks, relax and enjoy the air. Unlike the nearby Maksimir Park, where there is a zoo, a children’s playground, a restaurant and other entertainment facilities, this park is not overcrowded and is not a major destination for families seeking a leisurely Sunday stroll.

Hotel Laguna, Kranjčevićeva 29Ateliers Žitnjak & Dinner
Žitnjak 53 (departure by bus from Hotel Laguna)Artistic organization Ateliers Žitnjak was founded in 2004 by artists, users ("tennants") of studios in former primary school, located in the neighborhood of Žitnjak, a part of Zagrebs' southeast suburbs (thus AŽ carry a nickname Center of the Periphery, coined by artist Zoran Pavelić). The City of Zagreb has repurposed the building into 13 studios and gave them to artists to use. Gallery AŽ followed in 2005, as well as artist-in-residence program in 2010 (a cooperation between AŽ, City of ZG and NRW Kulturamt Duesseldorf). Continuous public program consist of exhibitions, workshops, performances, projections, talks, hangouts, and more, with an emphasis on the term of "periphery", both as borderline urban / cultural landmark and a chosen notion of creative / artistic production. Ateliers Žitnjak are devised according to the model of international artistic centers in abandoned industrial / agricultural zones, with a purpose of a long-term evolution of a cultural "shelter" which is contributing to the social revival of the peripheral, culturally neglected suburban area of Žitnjak. During the dinner & hangout at AŽ, guests we'll be able to meet and befriend some of the more prominent artists in Croatia, both tennants and daily visitors, explore their studios and the building overall, see a current exhibition Ghost Liberators by Leo Vukelić, have a short stroll around the neighborhood, and more! Members of AŽ collective are Hamo Cavrk, Alem Korkut, Boris Cvjetanović, Hrvoje Mitrov, Kata Mijatović, Zoran Pavelić, Vesna Pokas, Vlasta Žanić, Mirjana Vodopija, Boris Greiner, Dražen Grubišić, Predrag Pavić, Frane Rogić and Bojan Krištofić.

Worlds of Survival
Pogon Jedinstvo, Trnjanska struga 34videoart of 2010's in Croatia: a microselection by Bojan Krištofić // During the last decade, the art of video and electronic image in Croatia had been remarkably rich in most of genres: experimental, animated, utilitarian, documentary and feature film and video, which surely had to do a lot with the development of new media studies at art academies across the country (Zagreb, Split, Rijeka and Osijek). With a focus on experimental and utilitarian (music videos) genres, a micro-selection at hand tends to show the diversity of artworks by a younger generation of creators, which were often crafted in a limited, do-it-yourself production framework. However, younger forces have learned how to transform limitations into virtues, year by year producing videos that, apart from their specific contents, are also a reflection of the intensive context marked by extremes between possibilities and wishes, which most dedicated creators were able to overcome.
We'll close the Reshape Intensive Zagreb programme with a party and a concert! We'll have a chance to listen to pj.lo, an ego trip hop band that describes itself as follows: I'm not what you see. I'm not what you cannot see either. I dwell in the space between the mask and the skin. I'm never only here. Nor am I completly elsewhere. I'm in between projects, between relationships, between appointments, between jobs, in between texts. I'm climbing up stairs, jumping from one roof to the others, crossing tunnels, shooting little stars in order to get points, sliding down on lianas like in a Mario game. I was born on a shooting arrow. I'm tearing holes in pockets so as to leave a trail of mails, gestures, words, objects and feelings behind me in the hope the would help me to find my way back. Back in the between. I only feel myself only when I'm on the stage playing myself.
