Cancelled // Fieldwork: Activism & Municipalism in the Trešnjevka Neighbourhood
A walking tour around Trešnjevka will lead you through key locations of this traditionally working-class neighborhood. On one side, you'll have a chance to see the Zagreb as it used to be, and on the other side you'll hear the story of the mismanagement of the communal services and how organised neighbors can change it.
Iva Ivšić graduated at the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb. The focus of her professional, activist and research work is education, especially the availability of the quality early and pre-school education. She is a member of the Organization for Workers' Initiative and Democratization, the organisation that primarily deals with connecting the civil society and unions with the purpose of widening the networks that promote and protect workers' rights as well as bring wider social change. She is currently working in the Education, Media and Culture Union.
Marta Kiš works as a curator and cultural manager of visual and new media programs at the Students Centre in Zagreb and is a co-founder of the AM Centre – a non-profit organisation dedicated to the preservation and promotion of animation as a unique art form. She believes that change is possible if you actively work for it.
