RESHAPE - A Workbook to Reimagine the Art World
The publication RESHAPE – A Workbook to Reimagine the Art World documents a series of Prototypes designed by the RESHAPE community of artists and art workers. These prototypes function as proposals reflecting and inciting the transition of the sector towards more equitable and more sustainable ways of working. The prototypes engage in dialogue with a number of existing, reworked, and commissioned works selected by the RESHAPE community: the Zeitgeist material. The authors – including artists, scholars, and critical thinkers – analyse and contextualise current challenges, thus outlining the spirit of our times that informs and inspires the prototypes. The experimental process of RESHAPE is described in the introduction and in a conversation with six facilitators who accompanied the various groups as they worked on the prototypes.
Members of the RESHAPE community will present the book in a conversation with Ivana Pejić, editor-in-chief of the independent culture magazine Kulturpunkt.hr, where they will discuss the prototype design process and hopefully inspire you to delve deeper into the material. Hard copies of the book will be available at the launch event.
