Governance of the Possible

Following the call of the RESHAPE Network to reimagine fairer governance models, the 'autonomous board' (Martin Schick, Helga Baert and Sam Trotman and many other voices) has built a collective proposal for action underpinned by a new paradigm. Within this idea lies the proposal to create new narratives, common goals, forms of cooperation instead of competition, informed by a wide range of understandings, lived experiences and perspectives. This paradigm shift can be traced and implemented with the help of the anti-method 'Governance of the Possible'. One of the associated working tools is a tarot set, which has been developed in collaboration with artists from all over the Euro-Mediterranean region. It is made with the intention to allow a playful and intuitive access to the idea of fair governance and to accompany institutions and cultural workers in collective processes. In the workshop Martin Schick / Helga Baert presents the context and accompanies a collective reading session, which invites unconscious realities to flow into our art making and could help to stop messing around and diving straight in at the deep end.
