Eva Gartnerová

I am a Ph.D. student and the director of Communication agency at the Faculty of multimedia communication Tomas Bata University in Zlin. Furthermore, I work as a redactor at CZECHDESIGN, where I contribute with articles about contemporary local and also international design. I am tackling with cultural and creative industries in the field of communication and mostly public engagement, cultural management, and arts marketing. My doctoral studies are focused on mapping of university art galleries and participatory audience in there. I am building an international network for university galleries to open them more for public engagement and discussions, I am trying to highlight their importance and role in wider society not just in the academic world. Through the development of university galleries international relationships I hope to develop new opportunities and experiences for emerging artists and designers who are mostly the primary target group of those institutions. I am trying to get more into public engagement through my participation in G18 - university gallery of Zlin, where I am working as a program coordinator and also international relations coordinator. :)

Besides, I had participated in international projects such as Visegrad academy of cultural management VACUM, RECcORD - Cultural recorders, or programs of European Cultural Academy dealing with improving skills of cultural managers and understanding the field of cultural management and international, interdisciplinary cooperations within art and design. I am also involved in research projects on behalf of Visegrad Fund or INTERCOST.
