The Home and the Suitcase: A Discussion on the Value of Art in the Social Fabric

A group of artists and art workers have undergone a journey to unpack the notion of value of art in social fabric. With a suitcase full of survival tools and skills, they crossed the vast field of socially engaged practices to build and uncover a home: a communal space of introspection and critical questions addressed to all of us engaged in the arts and other socially engaged practices. In this session they will guide us through the challenging journey that they underwent: questioning and mapping the areas of crisis that affect the independent cultural workers and artists, and planting seeds for possible positive futures to grow.
